About Jericho (SA)
Jericho is a small rural suburb of Kadina on the Yorke Peninsula, in the Copper Coast Council. It was surveyed in 1871 as one of four occupation blocks created to meet the demand for housing among miners working the nearby Wallaroo Mines during the copper boom. The name had been in local use for many years before the suburb's boundaries were formally gazetted in 1999.
