About Brinkworth

Brinkworth is a town in the Mid North region of South Australia, 31 km north-west of the regional centre of Clare. The district was first settled in the 1860s and the town laid out in 1892, named after early landowner George Brinkworth. It was once a railway junction on the line from Gladstone to Adelaide with a branch towards Kadina and Wallaroo, though those services have since closed.
