About Bangor (SA)
Bangor is a rural locality in the Mount Remarkable area of South Australia, located about 216 kilometres from Adelaide in the Southern Flinders Ranges region. The town was surveyed in 1853 as part of the Mount Remarkable Special Survey, though little remains of the original settlement. The area is surrounded by farmland and the Wirrabara forest.
