About Morphett Vale
Morphett Vale is a southern suburb of Adelaide, South Australia, in the City of Onkaparinga. It was the first major town south of Adelaide, developing from land first subdivided in 1840 and named after the early settler John Morphett. The area supported vineyards and mixed farming before extensive subdivision from the 1960s transformed it into a residential suburb.
