About Mount George (SA)
Mount George is a locality in the Australian state of South Australia located about 17 kilometres (11 mi) south-east of the state capital of Adelaide. It was established in 1999 with its name being derived from the Mount George Conservation Park. Its boundaries were varied in August 2002 when some land was added to the adjoining locality of Stirling and again in August 2005 when land was added to Balhannah.
