About Marden
Marden is an inner residential suburb of Adelaide in the City of Norwood Payneham St Peters, South Australia, located five kilometres east of the Adelaide CBD. Bordered by the River Torrens to the north, O.G. Road to the east, Payneham Road to the south and Battams Road to the west, the suburb has a rich history of market gardening on flats near the River Torrens. Marden grew from ribbon development on Payneham Road servicing travellers between Athelstone and Adelaide. The suburb includes Payneham Swimming Pool, several churches and the Marden Shopping Centre.
