About Stonehenge (Barcoo - Qld)

Stonehenge is an outback town and locality in the Shire of Barcoo in far western Queensland, situated on the Thomson Development Road approximately 155 kilometres south-west of Longreach. The locality is in the Channel Country, where the Thomson and Barcoo rivers meet to form Cooper's Creek. The town is a base for exploring the John Egan Pioneer Track and the surrounding outback landscape.
