About Eromanga
Eromanga is an outback town in the Shire of Quilpie, approximately 108 kilometres west of Quilpie on the sealed Natural Sciences Loop. It lies on the edge of the ancient Eromanga Inland Sea bed and is known for oil extraction, opal mining, and significant dinosaur fossil discoveries including Australia's largest dinosaur, a titanosaur sauropod, and is widely regarded as the town in Australia located farthest from the ocean.
