About Mount Stanley
Mount Stanley is a sparsely populated rural locality in the Somerset Region of Queensland, bounded to the west and north by the Brisbane Range. The east branch of the Brisbane River rises in the locality, which is often described as the source of the river, and Mount Stanley, which may have given the locality its name, rises to 522 m in the south-east. The rugged forested country is used for grazing and small farms.
