About The Pines (Qld)
The Pines is a small rural locality in the Toowoomba Region of Queensland, about 117 kilometres west-south-west of Toowoomba CBD. The name refers to the native cypress pine forests that characterise the elevated undulating landscape, which sits on sedimentary rock of the Kumbarilla beds. The area supports scattered farming properties, grazing on native pastures and production forestry, and is adjacent to Western Creek State Forest and Wondul Range National Park.
