About Coolmunda

Coolmunda is a rural locality in the Goondiwindi Region of Queensland, situated about 13 kilometres east of Inglewood. The Cunningham Highway and South Western railway line pass through the locality, and Lake Coolmunda, a major reservoir on Macintyre Brook created in 1968, provides water for Inglewood and irrigators as far downstream as Goondiwindi. The lake is a popular destination for fishing, camping and boating, and the surrounding area supports a mixture of dry and irrigated cropping and grazing.
