About Coalbank

Coalbank is a sparsely settled rural locality in the Toowoomba Region of Queensland, located about 76 kilometres north of Toowoomba on the Darling Downs. The area features undulating country with open farmland and grazing properties across several named watercourses including Bum Bum Creek and Emu Creek, within the Condamine River catchment. The Coalbank State School operated from 1906 to 1961, and the Coalbank Hall, built in 1929, still stands.
