About Milingimbi
Milingimbi is an island in the Crocodile Islands group off the coast of Arnhem Land, Northern Territory. Inhabited by Yolngu people for over 40,000 years, a Methodist mission was established in 1923 and it later served as a RAAF base during World War II. The island is a dry community accessible only by air, known for its art centre.
