About Bellamack
Bellamack is a northern suburb of Palmerston in the Northern Territory, located 26.5 kilometres southeast of the Darwin central business district and 5.4 kilometres from the Palmerston Town Centre. On the traditional Country and waterways of the Larrakia people, the suburb was established in 2010 as part of the Building Palmerston government initiative. A Development Agreement was signed on 1 June 2009 and construction commenced the same day. Over 20 percent of the total area is designated as open space with formal parks, drainage reserves and remnant natural vegetation. The suburb was designed incorporating Water Sensitive Urban Design principles and includes approximately 670 lots with 15 percent retained for affordable and social housing in a salt and pepper mix throughout the development. The suburb had a population of 2,458 at the 2016 census.
