About Menai

Menai is a residential suburb in the Sutherland Shire, 29 kilometres south of the Sydney CBD. Named after the Menai Strait in Wales, it replaced the earlier name Bangor in 1910, retaining the Welsh connection established by settler Owen Jones in 1895.
