About Kearns

Kearns is a residential suburb of Sydney in the City of Campbelltown, in the Macarthur region of New South Wales, located 57 kilometres south-west of the Sydney CBD. Established in 1976 and named after local farmer William Kearns, who owned a large property in the 1800s, the suburb is on the traditional land of the Tharawal people. Streets are named after famous world rivers including the Mississippi, Danube and Yangtze. Heritage-listed Epping Forest at Mississippi Crescent preserves the area's history.
