About Balgowlah
Balgowlah is a residential and commercial suburb on Sydney's Northern Beaches, about 12 km northeast of the CBD, with a town centre bounded by North Harbour to the east. Established in 1832 as one of the first planned villages in Cumberland County, its name is Aboriginal in origin meaning "North Harbour." Notable landmarks include Balgowlah Oval, Balgowlah Boys High School and proximity to the Spit Bridge.
