About Mount Kuring-Gai

Mount Kuring-gai is an outer suburb of Northern Sydney, in the Hornsby Shire about 31 kilometres north-west of the Sydney central business district. Its railway station opened in 1901 and the Mount prefix was added to the name in 1904. The suburb is split by the Pacific Highway, Main Northern railway line and Pacific Motorway, and is surrounded by bushland, bordered by Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park to the east and Berowra Valley Regional Park to the west. Several bushwalks start in the suburb, including the Great North Walk.
