About Laughtondale

Laughtondale is a secluded rural locality on the banks of the Hawkesbury River in Hornsby Shire, approximately 60 kilometres north-west of the Sydney CBD. Named after settler John Laughton who arrived in the 1840s, it is surrounded by heavily wooded terrain and native bushland, with water sports and fishing popular along the river.
