About Colo (Hawkesbury - NSW)
Colo is a small rural locality on the banks of the Colo River in the Hawkesbury district of New South Wales, roughly 82 kilometres north-west of Sydney. The area sits within sandstone country surrounded by native bushland and forms a gateway to the Wollemi and Yengo National Parks and the Parr State Recreation Area. Known locally as adventure country, it offers bushwalking, canoeing, four-wheel driving and horse-riding along one of the last pristine river systems near Sydney.
