About Currarong

Currarong is a small coastal fishing and holiday village in the Shoalhaven district of New South Wales, on the Beecroft Peninsula about 30 km south-east of Nowra. The name is believed to mean place of many winds in the local Aboriginal language, and the village, built around the mouth of Currarong Creek, is surrounded by white sand beaches such as Warrain and Abrahams Bosom. Its sheltered waters and offshore reefs make it a noted fishing destination.
