About Berrara

Berrara is a small coastal village in the City of Shoalhaven on the South Coast of New South Wales, about 8 kilometres south of Sussex Inlet, situated between the Tasman Sea and Berrara Creek. The name is an Aboriginal word for snapper. Known for its sheltered beach, swimming water and fishing, the village lies on the edge of Conjola National Park, and fossils dating back around 240-280 million years are exposed at the northern end of Berrara Beach.
