About Sharps Creek
Sharps Creek is a small rural locality in the Riverina of New South Wales, in the hill country of the Adelong district west of Tumut. It takes its name from the creek where alluvial gold was being worked from the 1850s, and a goldfield taking in the watersheds of Sharp's and Nacka Nacka creeks was proclaimed in 1872.
