About Gilmore (NSW)
Gilmore is a small rural locality in the Riverina region of New South Wales, in the Snowy Valleys area about 20 kilometres from Tumut, on the Tumut Plains in the western foothills of the Snowy Mountains. The district is grazing and mixed-farming country, settled from the early 1840s when the first stockyard on the Tumut Plains was built.
