About Cudgel
Cudgel is a rural locality in the Riverina of New South Wales, located about 15 kilometres from Narrandera and 465 kilometres from Sydney within the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area. The landscape features level to gently undulating terrain with free-draining sandy red loam soils renowned for their productive capacity, supporting irrigated horticulture, nursery production, and cropping. Established in 1912 following construction of Burrinjuck Dam, the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area produces half of Australia's rice, 42 percent of New South Wales grapes, and 25 percent of its fruit and vegetables.
