About Beelbangera

Beelbangera is a small town in the Riverina region of New South Wales, about 2 km north-east of Griffith. The name comes from a local Aboriginal word meaning native companion. The town grew as a centre for the irrigated wine grape industry, which began in the area in 1913, and a post office opened there in 1919.
