About Wooyung
Wooyung is a small town on the Tweed Coast in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, lying between Pottsville and Brunswick Heads. The name is said to mean 'slow' in the Bundjalung language, reflecting the tranquillity of the area. The Wooyung Nature Reserve, 87 hectares of coastal dunes and wetlands bisected by the Tweed Coast Road, borders the town to the south.
