About Pottsville
Pottsville is a coastal village in the Northern Rivers of New South Wales, in Tweed Shire on the banks of Mooball Creek. Named after Archibald Potts, who bought land there in the 1920s, it sits on the traditional lands of the Bundjalung people. From the 1930s the local beaches were mined for mineral sands, and today the town is a growing holiday and residential village between the Gold Coast and Byron Bay.
