About Mallanganee
Mallanganee is a small village on the Bruxner Highway at the foot of the Richmond Range, roughly 40 kilometres west of Casino in the Kyogle Shire. The name is an Aboriginal word meaning place of tall pines. The village is a gateway to Mallanganee National Park, which protects subtropical rainforest on the Richmond Range escarpment, and the Mallanganee Lookout offers panoramic views across the Northern Rivers hinterland.
