About Kynnumboon

Kynnumboon is a locality in the Tweed Shire of New South Wales, on Bundjalung country traditionally associated with the Ngandowal and Minyungbal-speaking people. It was named after the home built in the 1860s by Joshua Bray, one of the first European settlers near Murwillumbah. The Tweed Valley's first post office operated at Kynnumboon from 1866, and the first sugar cane grown in the district was planted on surrounding land.
