Hopkins Creek is a small semi-rural locality in the Tweed Valley hinterland, situated approximately 10 kilometres south of Murwillumbah within the Tweed Shire Council area. Set among subtropical landscape with volcanic soils, creek flats and remnant rainforest, it lies within easy reach of Wollumbin National Park and is roughly equidistant between the Gold Coast and Byron Bay.
