About Gibberagee
Gibberagee is a remote rural locality in the Clarence Valley Council area of the Richmond-Tweed region in New South Wales, located about 60 kilometres southwest of Lismore and near Casino. The landscape features hilly bushland with dense subtropical forest, rolling cattle country, and creek valleys, with Gibberagee State Forest containing a fire lookout tower and a waterfall with ancient rock art. One of the most sparsely populated localities in New South Wales, the area has been subject to environmental controversy over koala habitat logging in the state forest.
