About Woodenbong

Woodenbong is a rural village in the Border Ranges of northern New South Wales, about 10 km south of the Queensland border and in the shadow of Mount Lindesay. It lies five kilometres south of the junction of the Summerland Way and the Mount Lindesay Road, which leads to Legume and eventually Tenterfield. Timber was the main source of employment in the early years, with dairy, cattle and cropping following.
