About Tuppal
Tuppal is a rural locality in the Riverina region of New South Wales, about 43 km south-east of Deniliquin. The area was part of the Deniliquin Run taken up by Benjamin Boyd in 1843. Tuppal Station became renowned for its woolshed, built in the 1860s and described as the finest in Australia in 1900. The property sheared over three million sheep between 1890 and 1911. After World War I the station was subdivided for soldier settlement.
