About Lalalty

Lalalty is a sparsely settled rural locality in the southern Riverina of New South Wales, situated within the Berrigan Shire roughly halfway between the towns of Berrigan, Barooga, Tocumwal and Finley. The landscape of flat agricultural land near the Murray River plain supports cropping and cattle grazing on the rich alluvial soils typical of the region. A coach service between Cobram and Berrigan once passed through, and the locality had a post office from 1899, but today Lalalty has no local shops, schools or public transport and residents rely on Tocumwal approximately 18 kilometres away.
