About Gol Gol

Gol Gol is a small country town in the Wentworth Shire, in the far western region of New South Wales, Australia. It is situated on the banks of the Murray River, within the Sunraysia region, just across the river from the Victorian city of Mildura. Proclaimed a township in 1866, with allotments occupied from the late 1870s, Gol Gol was historically an important coach stop whose coaches also carried the Royal Mail. The town now serves the surrounding irrigation district.
