About Wingham

Wingham is a historic town on the Manning River in the Manning Valley of the New South Wales Mid North Coast, in the Mid-Coast Council area. Proclaimed in 1844, it was the first government town in the Manning district. The town is known for its many National Trust-listed Federation-era buildings and for the Wingham Brush Nature Reserve, a rare remnant of subtropical lowland rainforest that shelters a colony of grey-headed flying foxes.
