About Sherwood (Kempsey - NSW)

Sherwood is a small rural locality in the Macleay Valley, roughly 15 kilometres south-west of Kempsey along the Macleay River corridor. Named after a cattle station established by Captain William Briggs in 1839, it is home to the Sherwood borefield which supplies water to the Kempsey Shire.
