About Mount George (NSW)
Mount George is a small rural locality about 23 kilometres west of Taree in the Manning Valley. The heritage-listed Mount George Rail Bridge crosses the Manning River on the North Coast railway line, and the historic public school has operated since 1874. The surrounding countryside is pastoral with low-density agricultural character.
