About Cabbage Tree Island (Mid-Coast - NSW)
Cabbage Tree Island is an island in the Manning River on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales, in the Mid-Coast local government area near Old Bar, about 15 kilometres north-east of Taree. It is a low-lying, sparsely settled rural locality within the tidal reaches of the river, served by the neighbouring town of Old Bar. Boating, fishing and the river environment are central to life on the island.
