About Rowena

Rowena is a small town in the Walgett Shire of New South Wales, in the state's far north-west, serving an agricultural community that combines dryland and irrigated cropping with grazing. Its public school, opened in 1923 and rebuilt in 1996, remains a focus for the district, and the Pokataroo railway line passes through the town. Rowena also has a pub, a general store, a post office, an oval and a swimming pool.
