About Obley

Obley is a small rural locality in the Cabonne Shire of New South Wales, about 50 km south of Dubbo, on Obley Road where it crosses the Little River. A larger town was surveyed there but never developed, losing out to nearby Yeoval on the railway line. The district has been farmed since the mid-1800s for wool, wheat and livestock, and retains an 1891 police station building and a Great War roll of honour unveiled in 1922.
