About Montefiores
Montefiores is a rural locality in the Far West and Orana region of New South Wales, situated near Wellington and about 20 kilometres east of Dubbo. The area takes its name from Moses Montefiore, who held a significant pastoral run in the district during the nineteenth century. The locality features a mix of farmland and open bushland typical of the central western plains.
