About Bourbah
Bourbah is a remote rural locality in the Coonamble Shire of far western New South Wales, about 20 kilometres north-west of Nyngan. The landscape consists of open grazing and cropping country on the flat plains of the Macquarie-Castlereagh catchment, with sparse settlement typical of the Orana region. The name is Aboriginal in origin, and an artesian bore was sunk here in 1897. The area is part of the traditional country of the Wayilwan people.
