About Arthurville

Arthurville is a rural locality in the Dubbo Regional area of the Central West Slopes of New South Wales, about 20 kilometres from Wellington and 310 kilometres from Sydney. The area supports broad-acre cropping and grazing on open agricultural land, and was historically considered as a candidate site for Australia's national capital before Canberra was chosen in 1908. The settlement originally grew around the Little River before shifting east when the railway line was built.
