South Bathurst is a suburb of Bathurst in the Bathurst Region of New South Wales, located south of the Bathurst central business district. Bathurst is Australia's oldest inland European settlement, established in 1815. South Bathurst is predominantly a residential area adjacent to the Bathurst CBD. The suburb is in the state electorate of Bathurst and the federal Division of Calare. The suburb had a population of 1,583 at the 2016 census.
