About Lidster

Lidster is a rural locality in the Central West Slopes and Plains, approximately 23 kilometres south of Orange and 279 kilometres west of Sydney. Originally known as German Hill from a small colony of German settlers, the locality was renamed in honour of Trooper Cecil Lidster, killed at the Gallipoli landing on 25 April 1915.
