About Doctors Gap

Doctors Gap is a rural locality in the Central Tablelands of New South Wales, near Lithgow within the Oberon local government area. The locality is believed to be named after Dr Walter Fawkes Mackenzie, a medical doctor who owned land in the area between Lithgow and the Hartley Valley in the late 19th century. The landscape consists of rolling hills and grazing country.
