About Albert

Albert is a small town in the Central West region of New South Wales, Australia, in the Lachlan Shire local government area, about 481 kilometres west north-west of Sydney. Copper had been discovered in the area by 1900, and several copper mines operated nearby in the early twentieth century. The town is known for the Rabbit Trap Hotel, which has a giant rabbit trap on its roof, and the Big Beer Can landmark across the road.
