About The Entrance

The Entrance is a coastal town in the Central Coast region of New South Wales, occupying a promontory bounded by water on three sides. It takes its name from the channel along its northern border that forms the entrance to Tuggerah Lakes. A holiday destination since its first guest house opened in 1885, the town is known for its beaches and lakeside foreshore.
